Billy is a male Asian elephant. He was born in Malaysia, but he was forcibly taken from his birthplace and traded to the L.A. Zoo! This site is dedicated to Voice For The Animals' efforts to get the City of Los Angeles to send Billy to a sanctuary Please feel free to look through the site and learn more about the effects of captivity on elephants.

Gita Story

In 2006, the director of the Los Angeles Zoo stated that Gita was doing fine. This was just two months before she died from ailments related to the size and quality of her exhibit. Billy is in the same situation as Gita; his time is running out. Click for more information
