Each piece is an original, signed and numbered artwork in acrylic paint on a wood panel measuring 16 by 20 inches and incorporates the colors of the foundation. Salas-Humara was conceived in Havana, born in New York City and raised in Southern Florida. He's made New York City his home for the last 23 years. In 1987 his rock band, The Silos, was voted Best New American Band in the Rolling Stone Critics Poll and over the past 21 years have recorded 12 albums and put in thousands of days on the road. Salas-Humara began painting as a teen and has always enjoyed putting paint to canvas, wood, and various and sundry materials. He has been making his unique dog paintings for the past 8 years. |
